West Virginia Split Rail™ fence is an eye-catching classic ranch style fence that adds a rustic charm to any property. Posts are made of Southern Yellow Pine which is kiln dried and then pressure treated. SYP has been proven to be highly receptive to the pressure treating process, which allows for it to be treated for ground contact. The rails are pressure treated for above-ground contact. The pressure treating process forces the preservatives into the wood fibers altering the characteristics of the wood so that it is highly resistant to rot, fungal decay, and insect infestation, thus increasing it's life span.
